Who we are

ComptaZen is a Quebec-based accounting process diagnostics and automation practice. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at info@comptazen.digital.

What we collect

Our contact form on comptazen.digital collects: your name, your business name, your email address, and whatever you write in the “what's the most painful process” field. We don't collect anything else through this form, and we don't use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this site.

Why we collect it

We use this information for exactly one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, if you choose to proceed, to schedule and prepare for a discovery call. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the service provider described below, strictly to deliver your message to us.

Your consent

By checking the box on the contact form before submitting, you consent to us collecting and using your information for the purpose described above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@comptazen.digital — we'll stop using your information and delete it, except where we're legally required to keep records.

Where your information goes

When you submit the form, your information is sent directly to our CRM (Zoho CRM) through a serverless function, and stored on Zoho's systems rather than on servers we control. Zoho acts as a service provider for us in this respect. As with any service provider located outside Quebec, this transfer requires appropriate contractual safeguards to be in place — Zoho offers a data processing agreement for business accounts, which we're putting in order as part of setting this up.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as they're relevant to an active or potential engagement, and delete them once that's no longer the case — in practice, no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we're required to retain it longer for legal reasons.

Your rights

Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you can ask us, at no cost, to: see what personal information we hold about you; correct it if it's inaccurate or incomplete; or delete it. Email info@comptazen.digital and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access, and disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

If something goes wrong

If we become aware of a confidentiality incident involving your personal information that presents a risk of serious injury, we'll notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information as required by law.

Complaints

If you're unsatisfied with how we've handled your personal information, you can contact us directly at info@comptazen.digital, or file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

We'll update this page if how we handle your information changes, and update the date above.
